I have a bit of an obsession with cookbooks. If you see a “coffee table book” in my house, there’s an 80% chance it’s actually a cookbook.
I recently received a copy of Naked Cookbook and it really is naked! This book has maybe the most unique, and literal, cover design and binding I’ve ever seen. As soon as I removed it from the box it shipped in I thought, “this is worth it just for how cool it’ll look on the shelf, even if the content sucks.”
The good news is that the content doesn’t suck. The recipes, for the most part, are paired down and “naked”… simple for anyone to understand and be able to make their own. I did wish there were more pictures but understand that decisions have to be made for the sake of space.
I haven’t had a chance to cook any of the recipes yet– summer life with new projects has kept me from cooking much lately. But there are plenty of recipes from this book that are on my “must make soon” list including Sea Bass Ceviche with Avocado + Pomegranate, Sauerkraut, and Chilled Avocado Yogurt Soup.
Definitely check out The Naked Cookbook if you’re looking for a simple cookbook with lots of health information that covers raw, pure, stripped, bare, nude, clean, and detox foods.
