Foodie Friday {5}

Sunset Beach

Welcome to another edition of foodie friday–a series of posts where I link to foods I’m wanting in my belly.  Given that it is Memorial Day weekend, I figured we should run with a grilling/summer theme…so here it is!

I had never thought to grill green onions before coming across this recipe for grilled onions with walnut romesco.  I’ll definitely be experimenting with it.

This would be a great little appetizer to serve at any summer party–feta peach bruscheta with balsamic reduction.

Sangria is my jam.  Add in some grilled citrus and it’s sweet, sour flavor and my mouth is drooling… grilled citrus sangria.

Each of these ingredients is awesome on its own.  Combine them into sriracha chicken bacon ranch skewers and you are sure to be named the new grill master at your next party.

Everyone always serves dips at Memorial Day parties…heavy dips full of calories… not something you want as you head into bikini season and the temps get warm.  Why not lighten it up and beat the heat with some avocado & feta guacamole?

Noah has been on a Moscow Mule kick lately, so we pretty much always have ginger beer around.  These ginger beergaritas sound like a refreshing twist on the old classic.

I just found the cutest little grilled pepper holder at Target yesterday for all of like $4.  It’s even shaped like a jalapeno, so of course it had to come home with me.  These bacon ranch grilled jalapenos sound like they are to die for.

Keeping my pepper and cheesy run going, check out these herbed cream cheese grilled bell pepper boats

I think the concept of grilled pizza is awesome (note to self: get a grilling pizza stone)… These little grilled caprese pizzas are a great way to blow minds as an appetizer at your next event.

And while it’s not grilled, strawberry and rhubarb feel like the quintessential summer foods to me… these strawberry rhubarb cripsp bars are on my to-do list for sure.

As I mentioned above, these are the things I’m currently eying up online.  What are you in love with online this week?  I’d love to check it out!
